Appomattox Insights Board of Supervisors Meeting — January 2

Howdy Friends!

The Appomattox County Board of Supervisors convened Jan. 2, for their first meeting of 2025. At this annual organizational meeting we elect the Board Chairman and Vice-Chairman. The persons elected will serve until the end of the year or until their successors shall be elected.

The temporary chair is Ms. Susan Adams. She serves until the Chairman is elected.

John Hinkle was elected as Chairman and Rev. Al Jones was elected as Vice-Chairman.

There were some organizational and administrative matters to be adopted:

1. We adopted "Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised" as our rules of order for the Board.

2. We adopted a change to the By Laws and Rules of Procedure.

Change in the "Order of Business.” It shall now be Call to Order, Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance.
