North Creek Ridge Bed & Breakfast held a ribbon cutting ceremony this afternoon at approximately 1:30 p.m. to officially become the newest small business venture in Appomattox County.
The venue is set to officially open its doors on Friday, Oct. 15. North Creek Ridge Bed & Breakfast is located at 4521 Oakville Road (State Route 26) about four miles past the Appomattox Walmart.
The owners of the new B&B, which sets in a scenic wooded area, are Jim and Holly Conroy.
The venue consists of two levels. The top level includes six bedrooms with their own private bathrooms. Each bedroom is decorated after a specific theme: Union, Confederate, Asian, Southwestern, Irish cottage and log cabin.
The top level also includes a living room, tables and flat screen television. The bottom level is designed to look like an Irish pub, but is also a game room with a television and will be used for children's parties and other gatherings.
