Raiders win four indoor track & field events at Heritage

On Jan. 22, the Appomattox Raiders indoor track and field team competed at Heritage High School against Rustburg, Brookville and William Campbell.

Rustburg won both the boys and girls competitions. Appomattox was second in the girls division and third in the boys division.

Madison Martin, Dezyre Christian, Kaysen Kesler, and the boys 4x400 meter relay team were event winners for Appomattox.

Overall Girls Team Scores: Rustburg 84, Appomattox 61, Brookville 45, William Campbell 7

Overall Boys Team Scores: Rustburg 112, Brookville 76, Appomattox 24

The following Raiders finished in the Top 10 of their respective events.

Girls 55 Meter Dash

Dezyre Christian (4th, 7.87); Freyia Bryant (10th, 8.22)
