Members of the Pamplin Volunteer Fire Department (PVFD) and Pamplin Town Council were honored at an appreciation dinner hosted by David and Angela Mason at the Pamplin Train Depot on Saturday, Jan. 18.
David Mason, a Pamplin native, expressed his gratitude to the hardworking individuals present.
“People call 911 for help but no one really understands what it takes to take time from your families and jobs, the hours of training and meetings needed, to take care of the community during an emergency response,” he said. “We hosted another dinner about three or four years ago, wanting to show our appreciation for the local firefighters, and I hope to do one every year if possible.”
