Sentencing of convicted murderer Enrico Andre Moss was rescheduled to June 8 in Appomattox County Circuit Court. The sentencing had originally been scheduled for March 21.
The 32-year-old Moss was found guilty for his role in the death of 45-year-old Bedford resident Carlos L. Rose after a jury trial held Jan. 11-12.
The jury found Moss guilty of of first degree murder, conspiracy to commit abduction to extort money, abduction to extort money, conspiracy to conceal a dead body, concealing a dead body, two counts of arson and one count of destruction of property valued at over $1,000.
Appomattox County Commonwealth’s Attorney Les Fleet explained that Moss’s defense attorney, Jason Anthony, requested the continuance of the sentencing date because he is undergoing a medical treatment that can’t be rescheduled, and therefore Anthony needs more time to follow up with information from Moss.
