Cynthia Smith, administrator of Appomattox Health & Rehabilitation Center, announced her retirement after celebrating 41 years employed with Medical Facilities of America (MFA).
MFA owns 39 facilities in Virginia and North Carolina and is a distinguished provider of progressive and transitional healthcare services for patients requiring post acute skilled rehabilitative extended and abbreviated programs of care.
Smith began her career with MFA in 1981 at the sister facility in Lynchburg, which was named Camelot Hall-Lynchburg, serving as their financial manager. She later enrolled in MFA’s Leadership Program (AIT) and became licensed as a nursing home administrator in 1991.
