At the Appomattox County Militia, Community & Disaster Relief organization’s monthly meeting is being held on Thursday, Jan. 6, at 7 p.m.
There will be a quick business meeting and then the floor will be turned over to the speaker for the evening, Kirk Purches, who will enlighten those in attendance on the “Tactical Civics” group forming in Appomattox.
According to Appomattox Militia Chairman Tom Adams, this nationwide group goes hand-in-hand with the ideals and goals of militia groups. They support the militias in every State they have a chapter in.
“Educating everyone in regards to the Rights afforded to all through the Constitution is very important, especially during these trying times where the US Constitution is stomped on by those in charge,” Adams said. “Your Rights, that have been fought so hard to obtain, are now requiring an additional fight to keep them. Don’t lose your Rights due to misinformation and misguided actions. This lecture will be very interesting for all.”
This lecture is open to the public, including families and friend. The location is the New Geneva Christian Learning Center, 222 Harrell Street, Downtown Appomattox. Seating is limited.
