An Appomattox teenager is at home resting after being involved in a rollover accident on Route 460 Thursday night.

At approximately 8:15 p.m., crews responded to the area of Frank’s Place in Spout Spring for a single-vehicle accident involving a white Nissan Sentra. When they arrived, crews found a juvenile female had self-extracted from her vehicle that was on its roof.

It was discovered that she was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the wreck.

Suffering only minor injuries, she was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital as a precaution.

Traffic was taken down to one lane on the west-bound side to assist with removal of the vehicle that was in the median strip.

Virginia State Police stated that there will be no charges.

The Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department, Appomattox County Rescue Squad, a Centra transport ambulance, Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office and Phelps Garage all were on scene.
