Javon Scruggs, a 2018 graduate of Appomattox County High School who recently completed his final season as a member of the Liberty University football team, will participate in this weekend's Buffalo Bills rookie minicamp.
According to BuffaloRumblings.com, Scruggs was invited to the camp, which takes place May 12-14.
Scruggs was not selected in the 2023 NFL Draft, which was held late April in Kansas City, Mo. He was not signed to a undrafted free agent contract, either. However, he will have the chance to impress an NFL coaching staff this weekend.
Scruggs won several Virginia Class 2 football championships with the Appomattox Raiders as a quarterback and defensive back. He played the safety position at Liberty during his five years with the program.
Scruggs also worked out with the Green Bay Packers in their rookie minicamp last weekend. He is not listed on the Packers' 90-man offseason roster, according to the Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services website.
