The Town of Appomattox Municipal Building, also known as Town Hall, will be undergoing some interior design changes in in the future. The topic was discussed at the latest Appomattox Town Council meeting held May 8.

Dominion Seven Architects in Lynchburg will be conducting a feasibility study of the building, for which Town Council approved$23,500. The current plan is to fund the study and construction projects with COVID federal funds that were allotted to the town.

The building is located at 210 Linden Street.

Town Manager Terry McGhee outlined a number of areas that the council has asked Dominion Seven to address in its study.

One concern are the stairs to the basement and the addition of an elevator to safely access the lower level of the building.
