ACHS to create new, safer baseball backstop area; now taking orders for personalized bricks

The Appomattox County High School (ACHS) Baseball team is soliciting your support to update the backstop area of the baseball stadium. By updating this area, it will be beneficial on several fronts.

First, it will be considerably safer to spectators, players and other students/citizens not attending the game. The new 43-foot-high net will be considerably higher than the current 15-foot-high chain link fence. It will also span from one dugout to the next — a distance of over 160 feet.

Second, the new backstop area will be more visually appealing. While creating a professional ballpark feel, it will also provide minimal obstructions while viewing.
