Virginia MetalFab moves into former Thomasville building

When you drive by the Thomasville Furniture building in Appomattox and see multiple automobiles in the parking lot, don’t worry, you’re not experiencing an illusion.

Virginia MetalFab has officially moved into the building as its first occupant since Thomasville Furniture closed its doors in 2011.

The Times Virginian published information about the pending move as early as March 2, and construction has been ongoing.

On Friday, Dec. 9, Virginia MetalFab will host an open house from 8 a.m. to noon at its new home within the Thomasville building. Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin will join the open house as a special guest to celebrate this historic move.
