Most of you know we had to close our doors at the former office on Court Street in Appomattox. Fortunately, the Chamber of Commerce has a temporary home at Venue 1848 at 1848 Court Street in Appomattox.
We discussed before how Appomattox steps in for the community where needed.Don and Nancy Wilks opened the door to their venue for our temporary office on Mondays. Located on Church Street at the end of Main Street, Venue 1848 is a beautifully restored historic building which hosts weddings, family events, and a myriad of other social events.
The building boasts a small stage, an overnight suite, and parking in the rear. This month Venue 1848 will host the James River Theater Company’s presentation of Sense & Sensibility. (See their website www.Venue1848.com for more information).
