The Appomattox Raiders fell to 8-3 on the season (5-1 in the Dogwood District) after getting shut down 3-0 by the William Campbell Generals at home on Wednesday, April 26.

Generals pitcher Tyler Mason took a no-hitter into the fifth inning and held the Raiders to two base hits. Wyatt Sisk broke up the no-hitter with a single in the bottom of the fifth inning but the Raiders were unable to capitalize on the opportunity.

Appomattox bounced back with a 10-8 win over Buckingham on Tuesday. The game recap will appear in next week’s Times Virginian.
