ACHS volleyball remains undefeated at 4-0

The Appomattox Raiders volleyball team remains undefeated at 4-0, winning two games last week with three-set sweeps of the Amherst Lancers and Buckingham Knights.

The Raiders hosted the Lancers on Tuesday, Sept. 3 in a rematch of the season-opener which Appomattox won 3-0. The Raiders took all three sets again (25-16, 26-24, 25-23) but the Lancers pushed them to the edge in the final two.

Top-scorer Regan Shields led the way for Appomattox with 12 kills on 31 attempts. Emily Dudley and Cora Melton added 6 kills apiece.

Paisley Mann contributed 25 assists for Raider shooters.
