It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! For almost three decades, the Appomattox Garden Club has volunteered their time and talent to decorate the front of the J. Robert Jamerson Library. We would like to give them a HUGE public thank you for all the work they do at the library to help make our building look festive and bright.
On Tuesday, November 28th, a library employee donated her time and talent to the Miss American Star Achievement’s “Wrapping For A Claws.” Patrons had the opportunity to bring in their holiday gifts and get them wrapped and tied up in beautiful bows in exchange for pet-related items and dog or cat food. These young ladies work hard at performing community service to help feed the unwanted or homeless pets in our local shelter. You can bring your own gift in to be wrapped at the next “Wrapping For A Claws” which will take place this Thursday, December 7th, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the library’s conference room.
