Phenix man to serve time for sex, porn with minor

Lucas Nathaniel Moreno, 21, of Phenix, was sentenced to four years of incarceration after pleading guilty to three charges in connection with having sexual relations with a minor under 18 years of age.

Moreno was charged with carnal knowledge without force with a minor age 13 to 15, production or making child pornography, and possession of child pornography.

Appomattox man sentenced for assault, abduction at gunpoint

Shellie Thornton Roark Jr. of Appomattox was sentenced to serve two years after pleading guilty to three felony charges related to a violent altercation involving a female.
