A church right by the Appomattox County and Buckingham County border is trying to bring a more diverse group of people together on Sunday mornings.

Spears Mountain Baptist Church Pastor Robert C. Wilson and Spears Mountain Baptist Church Rev. Willie Green have been working tirelessly to encourage white and black people to congregate in the same church space on Sunday mornings.

Both men have a lot of experience with working in churches and trying to unite and diversify their respective congregations.

Wilson and Green’s hard work is helping diversify their church, providing pastors everywhere with a guide on how to alleviate racial barriers, and teaching churchgoers how to overcome racial barriers.
