Recently in conversation with a good friend about something in our community, he voiced his displeasure on the subject by saying the phrase, “That’s not something that Appomattox needs.” While this column is not addressing the issue in discussion at that time, his phrase started me to thinking – What does Appomattox NEED?

Like most of you, I have my own opinions, but I will attempt to mitigate my personal preferences and address this issue from a variety of perspectives.
