As of Wednesday, Sept. 21, Appomattox Relay for Life has raised $35,469 out of its $45,000 goal.
This comes after the Appomattox Relay for Life fundraiser event for cancer research on Saturday, Sept. 17, at Courtland Festival Park, which yielded better attendance numbers than last year.
The organization continues to progress in its goal of raising $45,000 for cancer research and has until Oct. 31 to reach the mark, as the organization will be rolling over to it next fiscal year after this date.
Appomattox Relay for Life organizers emphasized that there is still plenty of time to donate despite the fact that the festival celebration already happened.
