The Southern Cruisers Riding Club of Virginia held their state rally in historical Appomattox on Aug. 5-7. The Appomattox Inn and Suites hosted the event that was represented by 10 chapters throughout the state of Virginia. About 90 members converged Friday night to kick the rally off.
“Mrs. Dana Mayberry, general manager of the Appomattox Inn & Suites, welcomed us with open arms,” said Phil Stanley, the Virginia state assistant officer for the Southern Cruisers. “After a couple meetings with Mrs. Mayberry to work out all details and an explanation of what these rallies consist of, everything was set and all the information went out to all the chapters around the state. After receiving a very warm welcoming letter from the Chamber of Commerce President John Redding, we knew this would be a special weekend.”
