Spout Spring man sentenced 2 years for theft

Brandon Scott Layne, of Spout Spring, was sentenced to serve two years after pleading guilty to stealing money and guns from his father in Appomattox County.

According to evidence summarized in court, an investigator with the Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office met with Layne’s father Aug. 16, 2022, in regard to money and two firearms that were missing from the property. Layne was named as a suspect.
