On Friday, the Appomattox Raiders varsity football team traveled to Liberty Christian Academy (LCA) to play in the annual benefit scrimmage game. LCA defeated Appomattox 46-0.
The Raiders had an impressive first quarter. DiTavion Mosley had a great game on defense. The momentum changed in the third quarter, as on the first series for LCA, the ball went straight downfield. The middle of the Raider defense was strong. They will also work on consistent ball handling transitions.
Appomattox will open regular season play at 7 p.m. Friday night at Bragg Stadium against Buckingham County.
