The Appomattox Raiders girls basketball team fell to Patrick County in the Region 2C quarterfinals on Monday night by a score of 41-23.
Appomattox hosted the first round of regionals and played against a strong Partrick Country team. Unfortunately, the season ended sooner than they would have liked, but they will live out the team mantra to "keep moving forward together," according to head coach Emily Hill.
"With four seniors graduating, we have a great group coming up behind them. Be sure to watch out for the Appomattox County girls basketball team again next year," Hill said.
Appomattox finishes with a 17-6 record and won the Dogwood District title.
