Hay catches on fire in Red House

A firefighter hoses round bales of hay that caught on fire early this morning at 993 Hunters Road in Red House. A call came in around 1:30 a.m. for the Appomattox County Volunteer Fire Department to assist in putting out about 30 rolls of hay. Also on scene were the Red House and Phenix volunteer fire departments. See this Wednesday's Times Virginian for more information.
