Appomattox Town Council holds 2025 organizational meeting

On Jan. 13, Appomattox Town Council held its 2025 organizational meeting at the Municipal Building on Linden Street.

Town Council member Timothy Garrett was re-elected by fellow members as vice-mayor for a two-year term. Mayor Richard Conner was re-elected in November’s general election.

Town Council members James Boyce Sr., Mary Lou Spiggle and Nathan Simpson were appointed to the Town Finance Committee. Boyce was appointed chairman of the committee.

Town Council members Garrett, Jane Allen and McKinley Cardwell were appointed to the Town Physical Development Committee. Garrett was appointed as the committee’s chairman.
