APPOMATTOX, Va. — On May 4 at 1 p.m., the Appomattox Republican Committee will be hosting a forum for candidates running for U.S. Senate at the Appomattox Community Center, located at 220 Community Lane, Appomattox.
There are five candidates vying for the nomination to run for the seat in the U.S. Senate. The following candidates confirmed to date are Jonathan Walker Emord, Scott Parkinson and Chuck Smith. The panel of candidates will have an opportunity to present their views, followed up by questions relevant to the office for which they are running.
This proves to be a great, informal way to meet the candidates and hear their views.

The committee’s objective is to promote, secure, and disseminate information related to the Republican Party and to find and secure Republican candidates to elected office in Appomattox County, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and these United States of America.
