Vietnam veterans to be honored at Aug. 4 ceremony in Appomattox

American Legion Post 104 along with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9855 will sponsor a ceremony at the Liberty Baptist Church Ministry Center, 1709 Church Street in Appomattox on Thursday, Aug. 4, at 10 a.m. to recognize and thank local veterans and their families who served during the Vietnam War on active duty or in the reserve forces.

Post 104 Commander Mike Warren thanked U.S. Representative Bob Good (R-VA) for hosting the ceremony. Congressman Good has partnered with the Vietnam War Commemoration to honor Vietnam veterans and their families who call the 5th Congressional District home.
