Appomattox County Health Department offering meningitis vaccine to rising high school seniors Wednesday

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The meningitis vaccine is the only vaccination that is required for students entering their senior year of high school. To make meeting this requirement easier, the Central Virginia Health District will be offering this vaccine for students at each of the county health departments. Vaccinations are provided by appointment at the dates, times and locations listed below. Students must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or an adult acting on behalf of the parent if they are not 18 years of age.

July 19

August 2

9:15 to 11:30 a.m.

Bedford County Health Department: 540-586-7952 (600 Bedford Avenue, Bedford)

Campbell County Health Department: 434-592-9550 (116 Kabler Lane, Rustburg)
