Appomattox County Commissioner of the Revenue Sarah Henderson has received three-fold honors within the past week. Henderson’s office was one of the first agencies in the Commonwealth to achieve accreditation from the Commissioners of the Revenue Association of Virginia.
The association honored Henderson at its 100th Annual Conference on Thursday for her office’s success. She also received the Association’s President’s Award at that same centennial conference, in recognition of her service as treasurer of the association. She has held that position since October 2012.
The County Board of Supervisors likewise honored Henderson and her staff for their accomplishments with a special award presentation and congratulatory remarks at the board’s September meeting on Monday.
