On the heels of Gov. Ralph Northam extending business closures for two weeks (until May 8), and the stay at home order for the public set until June 10, Appomattox County Falling River District Supervisor John F. Hinkle is encouraging local businesses and churches to open their doors May 1.
The May 1 date coincides with the Trump Administration’s expressed goal for the “Opening Up America” plan.
It’s yet to be determined whether or not the board of supervisors will officially encourage Appomattox County to stand with the president and oppose Northam.
