Due to last weekend’s forecast of potential inclement winter weather, the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Program that was to originally scheduled to be held this past Sunday at Springfield Baptist Church has been moved to Feb. 16 at 2:30 p.m.
The event includes music, a skit, reflections by Brookneal Mayor Barbara LaPrade, and words of encouragement by Pastor John Braxton.
The Carver-Price Legacy Museum will present the annual event.
Springfield Baptist Church is located at 6074 Watt Abbitt Road, Appomattox.
