The Appomattox Raiders girls soccer team played two road games last week, defeating Dan River 3-0 on May 8, and tying Nelson County 3-3 in double overtime on May 10.
As of press time, the Raiders (9-3-1) are third in the Dogwood District with a 5-2-1 record, behind Chatham (6-1) and Nelson County (6-1-1). Appomattox has lost and tied Nelson County and lost at Chatham. The Raiders and Chatham face each other Friday at Appomattox, which is also Senior Night for the Raiders’ Class of 2024.
