he Appomattox Raiders Boys soccer team took sole possession of first place in the Dogwood District last Wednesday evening, May 4, with a 4-1 win over the Chatham Cavaliers at Bragg Stadium.

The first 20 minutes of the game saw Chatham pushing very hard against what appeared to be a rattled Raider defense.

“The pressure in the beginning of the game was enormous,” said Raiders head coach Evans Thomas. “But we bent and didn’t break.”
