Virginia High School League (VHSL) has released its 2023 Class 2 All-State Volleyball Team, and several members of the state champion Appomattox Raiders have earned high honors.
Appomattox head coach Mark Drinkard has been named the Class 2 Coach of the Year after guiding the Raiders to a 25-3 record and the team’s first ever state title.
Earning 1st-Team honors is Appomattox senior Aubrey Fulcher. In 2023, Fulcher, who plays the setter position, set Appomattox County High School single-season records in assists (801), serve aces (111) and serve points (280).
Earning 2nd-Team honors are Appomattox senior Shannon Coleman and sophomore Regan Shields.
