The Appomattox Raiders boys soccer team won two of its three games last week, and its record going into the final week of the regular season is 10-3-1 (7-1 in the Dogwood District).

The Raiders blanked Altavista at home May 8 by the score of 8-0. Corey Williams punched in three goals for Appomattox, adding to his team-leading total of 21.

Other scoring was provided by Terrence Bush, Martin Alexander, Brady Fulcher, Charlie Drinkard and Bennett Goodman. Billy O’Neill led with two assists.

At the time of this post, Appomattox and Nelson County both have 7-1 records in the Dogwood District standings.
