Years ago I use to be one of those fishermen that fished in almost any kind of weather. Rain really never bothered me from fishing. If I was trout fishing and the streams and rain come up, I would go to the nearest river and start catfishing. After the rain stopped and no catfish were biting I would go back to the trout stream and now walk in the stream to fish. I was already soaked from the rain and at this point it didn’t matter. Well, times have changed.
Now when it rains I normally don’t fish. When it’s done raining I will fish. It just seems that catfish bite pretty good after rain. If it rains too hard the water gets muddy and that stops the trout fishing for a while.
Once again, back to catfishing. Well, this one time we were able to trout fish and catfish in the same place. When I was growing up in Washington, New Jersey, I had a bunch of friends that fished and hung out together. We had a favorite fishing hole called “Suckers Hole.” Every kid in town that fished knew this place.
