Appomattox volleyball sweeps two Dogwood opponents, former player Gilbert honored

Appomattox hosted Dan River in a volleyball game on Tuesday night, Oct. 3. Appomattox took the win in three sets: 25 to 18, 25 to 14 and 25 to 22.

On Thursday night, Oct. 5, Appomattox hosted Gretna and again won all three sets: 25 to 18, 25 to 17 and 25 to 9.

Before the Appomattox vs. Gretna volleyball game on Thursday night, Kaydence Gilbert (Volleyball 2019-2022) was recognized as an Outstanding Appomattox County High School (ACHS) Alumnus.

The Raiders traveled to Altavista on Tuesday. Results will be in the next Times Virginian. Tonight, the Raiders host Nelson County, scheduled for 7 p.m.
