The library just keeps growing with services and community outreach. The library staff has been busy planning and preparing all kinds of new crafts, programs, events and displays. With fall quickly approaching, this is the perfect time to come into the library and be inspired to find a new hobby, create a holiday home, learn a new skill, hand make this year’s gifts, or find new recipes to try.
In support of Gleaning for the World, the Jamerson Memorial Library is accepting Hurricane Helene Relief donations on behalf of patrons who cannot make it to Lynchburg to donate. We will be accepting donations for the next few weeks to help support those who are in desperate need of help. We are proud to be a community outreach venue for Gleaning for the World as we serve Appomattox and beyond.
Starting in November, the library will be offering Adult Boredom Busters for patrons who are 18 years of age and older. You must register online with your email address in order to participate, as we want to make sure that we enough supplies for those wanting to participate. (www.jrjml.org/adults) Once a month you will receive a kit; it is one kit per adult, per month only. We are going to start off with the materials to start junk journals and grateful pages, followed by supplies to fill in more pages for the months of December, January and February. We will feature a spring craft in March.
