Friday evening after school, me and the boys were going to check our favorite fishing hole, Suckers Hole. The state stocks these waters on Fridays. It was 2:45 p.m. on the big wall clock and only 15 more minutes before the bell rang. We hid our fishing poles and the cans of worms in the corner of the school building. It was a good way from the bicycle rack. Two minutes to go before the bell rings. There it goes: ring — ring — ring!
We jumped up off our seats and ran to the bicycle rack. Gary and Ray went to check on the worms. They were OK when we checked them at lunch time. I get on my bike and peddle to the spot where the cans of worms are. I had the bicycle that had a basket on it. I got to carry the bait. We check out our fishing poles and everything seems to be OK. It was a race now to Suckers Hole.
Across the football field and now we were in the Power and Electric parking lot. We only got a short trip across the lot. We got to the end of the road and we have to stop for traffic on the main road. Two cars go by and it was a race to our fishing hole.
