My best friend Howard said, “Let’s go practice shooting the bow.” It was hot outside but I needed the practice. I was talking to Howard on the C.B. radio. He said he would pick me up in a few minutes. Howard said he would bring my new arrows he made up for me. Howard made his own arrows up.
A few days earlier I watched Howard as he glued the inserts into place. This is where you would screw in the hunting head that you would use or a practice head. Then Howard would glue on the knock. Next thing he would do is set the arrow in a mold so he could glue the fletching on. Only thing we had to do now was let the glue dry.
