Due to several generous donations of books by patrons, the Appomattox County Library Association (ACLA) has lots of books for sale! All items are 50 cents each, with all proceeds to benefit this library. Book sale items are located on the blue bookcases, two book carts, and the neighboring table, all located in the center of the library. Be sure to grab a few titles while our selection is full. We accept books, movies, magazines, craft supplies and other such items with the understanding that if the library can’t use them, they will be put in a book sale, given to another organization that can make use of these items, given away, or disposed of as needed.
ACLA sponsors the library in many ways, including the procurement of new or replacement books, movies, and craft supplies, plus juice and snacks for events, prizes for summer reading and other special purchases. Without their support this library could not do as much as we do.
We would like to remind patrons that we allow drinks with lids inside the building, but do not allow food inside the main library. You are welcome to enjoy a picnic in Abbitt Park, leave your food in your vehicle or make other arrangements such as making use of the conference room, if it is available.
