The weather is getting warmer, fishing is in the air, and getting the dust off of those fishing poles is here. On those warm days during last month I saw a few diehard fishermen pulling their boats behind their trucks. Looking at them only made me want to fish also.
I need to buy two batteries for my boat; a starting battery and a Marian battery for the electronics. I didn’t want to buy them with a month and a half of winter left. This warm weather has changed my mind, so it’s time to buy them batteries and get the boat in the water and try for those crappies.
I got to re-spool my fishing reels. I have four reels with my top four baits on them (if the crappie don’t bite any of them, they ain’t hungry). I don’t spool the whole reel with new line. I use 20-pound test line to fill up the spool about a quarter of an inch from the top of the spool. I then tie on my new line to the 20-pound test line.
