Lenore Madison Peay

Lenore Madison Peay, age 84 of Appomattox, departed this life on September 17, 2022 at her home in Appomattox, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Tinsley and Mary Madison.

Lenore leaves to celebrate her life, one daughter, Renee S. Peay; three sisters, Dorothy Ann Madison of Savannah, GA, Charlotte Ruby Mellette of Richmond, VA, and Dianne E. Pankey of Durham, NC; one aunt, Dorothy Madison of Appomattox, VA; two brothers-in-law, Kevin Peay of Georgia and Laurie Peay of Lakeland, Fl; one sister-in-law, Lorraine Peay of Lakeland, Fl; nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews; two god-daughters, Michelle Mellette of Richmond, VA and Sarah Parker of Los Angeles, CA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Evergreen with interment in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Red House. Public viewing will begin on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Brookneal. Condolences may be expressed at www.JeffressFuneralHome.com.
