Rachel Belle Smith Totty, 91, of Hummingbird Lane, Spout Spring, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 27, 2019. She was the wife of the late James Earl Totty, Sr., for 63 years.

Born in Montgomery County, March 28, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Lizzie Tyree and Harvey Smith. Rachel was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years. She loved her church family and had a special fondness for the members of her ladies Sunday school class.

She is survived by four sons, James E. Totty, Jr., and wife, Chris of South Riding, Carl Totty and wife, Patty of Monroe, Dennis Totty and wife, Carolyn of Evergreen and Mike Totty and wife, Marlene of Appomattox; one brother Linwood Smith and wife Joann of Lynchburg; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Harris and Rev. Frank Casper officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30, Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at her residence between 2 p.m., and 7 p.m.
