Bessie Jean Ranson, 87, of Appomattox, died Saturday, January 26, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.W. Ranson, Sr.

She is survived by her children, H.W. Ranson, Jr. (Lorraine), Barney Ranson (Becky), Sharon Knight (David), Harry “Mike” Ranson (Tewonia), nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank special caregivers, Becca Hamlett and grandson, Joey Ranson.

A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
