John Osborne Harrison, 78, of Appomattox passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Mary Lou Jamerson Harrison.

Born in Lynchburg on November 3, 1944, he was the son of the late John Lea Harrison and Elizabeth Davidson Harrison. He was a charter member of Grace Hills Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Lisa Harrison McCall and husband, Roy, Brent Harrison and wife, Mimi, and Josh Harrison and wife, Valarie; eight grandchildren, Lauren M. Litton and husband, Connor, Caleb McCall, Nick Harrison, Tate Harrison, Alex Harrison, Camden Harrison, Lola Harrison, and Easton Harrison; two brothers, Thomas H. Harrison and wife, Jan, and Phillip L. Harrison and wife, Maurine: and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Harper Grace Harrison.

A funeral service was held 2 pm, Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Grace Hills Baptist Church with Rev. Adam Tyler and Rev. Gary Dalton officiating. Burial was held at 4 pm at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the service at Grace Hills Baptist Church.
