A three-vehicle accident occurred in Appomattox County on Monday night at approximately 9 p.m. on U.S. Route 460 West at the intersection of Little Dogwood Road.

Several injuries were reported at the scene, and the injured were transported to Lynchburg General Hospital.

Assisting at the scene were Appomattox County Rescue Squad, Delta Response Team, Concord Rescue Squad, Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department Engines 3 and Crash Units 9 and 10, Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police, Towgirlz Towing and PGI Towing and Transports.

As of Tuesday night, the Virginia State Police trooper who responded to the scene did not respond to a request by the Times Virginian for additional information.
