ACA’s CTE Institute receives grant from Dominion Energy

In support of Appomattox Christian Academy’s (ACA) soon-to-open Career and Technical Education (CTE) Institute, Dominion Energy presented a grant on July 19 that will help fund important equipment — the school’s first set of welding booths.

Acquisition of the booths will be an important step in the development phase of the CTE Institute, which is located at the Appomattox CVCC (Central Virginia Community College) complex. It is slated to open around the last week of August, according to ACA School Board Chairperson Bruce Boone.

Boone described the function of the booths, which aid in keeping welding students healthier with cleaner air flow.
