Attention military veterans and service members!
Who: Discharging Service Members, Veterans, their families, or survivors
What: Post 104 will host a Veterans Claim Clinic where experienced Veteran Service Officers will be present to assist Discharging Service Members, Veterans, their families, or survivors with preparing and filing VA benefit claims. This is a free service.
Where: Appomattox Community Center, 220 Community Lane, Appomattox, VA 24522
When: Tuesday, May 9, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
How: The doors will open at 9 a.m. and veterans will sign-in. Veterans will be seen in the order of arrival (first come, first serve). Claims will be processed until 2 p.m. Veterans should bring a copy of their DD Form 214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty), or equivalent form that confirms your record of military service in the National Guard, or Reserves. Additionally, veterans should bring VA decision letters from previous claims, if applicable.
